Eyelid Surgery in Manchester
Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is a procedure designed to improve the appearance of the eyelid area by removing excess skin, giving the patient a more youthful look.
This surgery can be altered depending on the desires of the patient, with upper and lower blepharoplasty surgeries being available. Upper Blepharoplasty VS Lower Blepharoplasty
Upper Blepharoplasty
For upper blepharoplasty, an incision is made in the crease of the upper lid and excess skin is removed from this area. Specifically suitable for sagging eyelids.
Lower Blepharoplasty
For lower blepharoplasty, an incision may be made on the skin below your lashes or within the eye to create a seamless and undetectable incision to remove excess skin in this area.
The decision to have either upper or lower blepharoplasty is based on your unique circumstances, and it is not uncommon for patients to have both treatments.

Blepharoplasty FAQs
The cost of blepharoplasty in Manchester varies from patient to patient, as it greatly depends on what exactly is required. If your eyelid surgeon deems you to be suitable for eyelid rejuvenation surgery, you will be given a quote at the end of your initial consultation, which includes all applicable fees.
The results of blepharoplasty surgery, like any other lifting procedure, will last as long as the skin maintains its elasticity. Care around the eye area is imperative in maintaining results for as long as possible; however, ageing factors can influence longevity. Therefore, this is different for each patient, but on average, the results of eyelid surgery can last up to 10 to 15 years.
Brow lifts can, in effect, create a lifting effect on the eyelid; however, it’s dependent on fat deposits and how much excess skin is present. Even with a brow lift, there can be skin left drooping over the eyelid. Mr Ross assesses each patient and provides a professional insight on which surgery or combination of surgeries is best for your case.
