Risks Of A Mini Breast Augmentation
The vast majority of patients are really pleased with the end results of their mini boob job but we always mention the risks and complications possible with any procedure. It’s not uncommon for patients to feel a change in sensation, some bruising, swelling and there can also be a slight difference in the two breasts after the procedure known as asymmetry.
There are also some rare complications after a mini breast augmentation that include infections, haematomas, delayed healing, extrusion of the implants, thickened scars and seroma formations.
The anaesthetic can also have some uncommon complications including respiratory/cardiac compromise and deep vein thrombosis. In terms of complications that come later the most problematic is an infection. It’s rare, but during any of these scenarios, it’s necessary to remove the implant for 3 – 6 months to allow your body to heal before considering reimplantation.
