Breast Reduction Surgery Recovery
Our latest vlog post sees us tackle the topic of how the shape of breasts changes following breast reduction surgery. If you’re looking for more information on the end result or if you’ve recently undergone the procedure yourself and you’re looking for reassurance on the changes, this video is designed to help relieve your concerns and educate you on the breast reduction recovery period.
As you see, breast reduction surgery recovery results differ on each case depending on the size of the breast. The changes to shape as well as scarring will change and develop for over 6 months following the procedure. As explained in the video, during the treatment the breast is hitched higher and the scarring is used to keep the fold higher. As the tethering of the scarring changes so does the shape. There will always be distortion in the following weeks due to the scarring but this video analyses results at the 6 week period and then compares them against the results after a 6 month period.
The video gives you a better understanding of what to expect during the breast reduction surgery recovery period. Our first vlog discussed the changing of scarring following the treatment, which you can view here for more information. The key here is to remember that whilst results differ for each person, the shape after a breast reduction will continue to change beyond the 6 month period.
