Mummy Makeover Case Study 38

A mummy makeover procedure involves combination rejuvenation procedures to the body and breasts. This lady underwent a classic abdominoplasty with mastopexy and autologous fat transfer to the upper pole of her breasts. Liposuction of the flanks and abdomen provides the fat for the fat transfer to the breasts and no additional incisions are required.  It is well known that complications and risks increase after 4 hours of surgery and it is important to discuss the pros and cons of combination surgery during a consultation. The final result is shown at 8 months when all the scars have settled.

When considering breast surgery alongside abdominal rejuvenation surgery or as part of a mommy makeover package it is very important that you are at your ideal weight and that you are fit and it is deemed safe to proceed with such a combination surgery.

When considering abdominal rejuvenation surgery it is important to consider all the various options which may include abdominoplasty, mini abdominoplasty, fleur de lis abdominoplasty, bodylifting and  liposuction.

When considering breast rejuvenation this lady opted for volume enhancement with breast implants/ breast lift rather than considering autologous fat transfer. She had limited fat for transfer and breast implants have provided her with an excellent rejuvenation.
