This lady has had a tummy tuck and a mastopexy. There are often some limitations in performing both procedures together and this needs to be discussed at a consultation. The extent of surgery should be limited to 4 hours of general anaesthetic to minimise risks. She did not require dressings or drains and was able to mobilise the next day. It is important from 6 weeks onwards that patients the scars in order to help reduce the scarring. This ladies scars are still red after 3 months and especially on the left side the breast vertical is red and tight. Massage will help this scar mature and soften and the breast will drop accordingly. Any scar revisions following surgery should only be considered after a year.
