This patient has had many previous abdominal surgeries with many scars on her lower abdomen. Even with midline scars a modified fleur de lis abdominoplasty can improve the contour. All other scars can be removed and revised in the lower abdomen. A vertical scar is required where there is not a lot of excess skin. The scars can be asymmetrical due to the differing anatomy on each side of the abdomen. The patient has also had a bowel resection, many previous hernia repairs and several laparoscopic procedures. The initial postop picture photo is taken at 6 weeks months postop. The final pictures are seen several years later when the swelling has settled and the scars have faded.
