Calf Augmentation Case Study 1

This lady was concerned about the size of her calves that were noticeably out of proportion with the rest of her body. She did not wish to have silicone based implants and preferred the option of autologous fat transfer. With this method fat can be harvested from other areas where there is excess and can be transferred through small incisions on the calf. The overall circumference of the calf has been increased in circumference by over 10% as a result of the fat transfer. The recovery is relatively quick and can be performed as a day case depending on the amount of fat that is being harvested.
