This patient who had surgery initially elsewhere developed capsular contracture in her implants. The options for her were to consider exchange of the implants or consider removing the implants and proceed with reinsertion of the breast implants at a second stage. If one is to consider a two stage approach, one should leave 3 months following explanation before considering this. Often however patients are surprised at the results following simple removal.
