This lady has different shaped breasts with a slightly increased volume on the left and a difference in nipple heights. The breast on the left hand side is positioned more laterally (towards the armpit) compared to the right. It is important that patients realise that after breast augmentation that there may well still be a difference. Where a number of variables exist in both size and shape and each is mild in nature it is important to discuss the pros and cons of using differing sized and shaped implants preoperatively. Using the same implant may often be the best solution excepting the differences that may be apparent postoperatively.
