Breast Augmentation Case Study 118

This lady has breast asymmetry in terms of both shape and size. The left breast sits higher on the chest wall and the nipple areola complex sits higher. The left breast is narrower and the footplate of the breast on the left is not as tall. After breast augmentation using anatomical implants in the subglandgular plane the results are seen 3 months after surgery. Subglandular implants over time will thin the skin and the breast, however one can place these implants closer to the midline than implants placed under the muscle. Patients need to be empowered to make the decision of which implants and which pocket the implants are to be placed.
