The scar of a tummy tuck is best placed as low as possible next to the pubic hair. If the skin is then brought down to this line and the wound is very tight it is best to place a small vertical scar just above the pubic hair. Wounds closed under too much tension may breakdown and cause a long time to heal. A small vertical scar has been used in this case and it is not visible above the pants line. The postop picture has been taken at 6 weeks and this lady is back doing everything she normally does alongside looking after her 4 children.
