Our patient wanted to have more upper fullness to their breasts, while maintaining a natural appearance.
While the risks of palpability and capsular contracture are thought to be higher when round implants are placed above the muscle, our patient wished to achieve upper fullness and opted for round implants under the muscle in a dual plane position. A dual plane breast augmentation provides cover of the implant in the upper pole and helps to prevent palpability in the upper pole. The patient was thrilled with their results and you can see more of the final look in our case study images below.
Implant Considerations
If you’re looking to undergo breast augmentation with rounded breast implants, you must discuss all the breast rejuvenation techniques with Mr Ross. You can choose to go with a mastopexy with implants, which combines breast reconstruction and aesthetic plastic surgery to achieve a natural look.
At your consultation, Mr Ross will guide you through the various breast rejuvenation options, discussing the pros and cons to ensure you are fully informed. You will also review preoperative and postoperative case studies with Mr Ross to establish realistic outcomes and clear expectations for breast augmentation.
In this case, it was decided that the patient’s existing breasts would be suited to more upper fullness. To achieve this, the round implants were the best solution, allowing Mr Ross to place them under the muscle in a dual plan position.
